Question about invisible sewing
I've come across something that is new to me. This is a 1987 Calvin Klein pattern. The first step says to "invisibly sew" the interfacing down the front fold line of the blouse. It seems to be that permanent stitches are wanted here It is not attached in another way later. I hope I've done it correctly???

Hello Daphofer, what a lovely blouse you are making. Invisible sewing can sound nerve wrecking, but do not despair! It is an intermediate to advanced technique that will take you to new heights with your sewing. Yes, you will be making permanent stitches. For your project, I’d suggest using the blind hem hand sewing technique. I’ll link a video for you. If you’ve already used a backstitch on your project, just be aware that it may cause friction against the drape of your blouse fabric because backstitches aren’t as fluid and moveable compared to the blind hem. Depending on how it's sewn, there may be a risk of puckering when worn. Let me know if you have any more questions! Please be sure to post your finished project so we can all see your newest creation!
