Service Description

Visiting the Couture Pattern Museum is a unique and intimate cultural outing, an investment in the future of the Couture Pattern Museum, and a contribution to preserving a unique aspect of fashion history. Each $125 ticket allows you to visit the penthouse floor with ocean views of the Granada and Arlington theaters. During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to explore our exquisite collection of dresses and patterns in our current rotating exhibition. As part of your experience, you will sponsor the conservation and digitization of a pattern, which will be duly acknowledged by featuring your name next to the pattern in our museum database—a gesture valued at $95. Additionally, you will gain annual access to our online database, a benefit worth $60.* Currently, the initiative of requiring a conservation and digitization sponsorship alongside your visit helps us digitize our collection while we navigate the early challenges of being a startup museum without traditional arts funding. We offer complimentary entry for students and children under the 12th grade from a Santa Barbara County School System if they are accompanied by a ticketed adult or guardian, ensuring that financial barriers don't hinder educational opportunities. Our operational model, blending sponsorship with visits, is born from necessity. With limited staff, we prioritize the preservation and digitization of the museum's assets. However, we welcome everyone to our free public exhibitions at the TOWER event space at Workzones at Paseo Nuevo Mall, during select 1st Thursday events. Please note: Founding Members enjoy free annual access. Your ticket purchase and conservation sponsorship are vital for our ongoing operations. Your visit supports the mission to share and preserve the legacy of this little-known or acknowledged fashion history. Thank you for your understanding and support. *Please note, this visit with a conservation and digitization sponsorship facilitates the digitization process for the museum's collection and does not include a personal copy of the sponsored pattern in either digital or physical form. Founding members and attendees enrolled in one of our workshops have access to study and learn from an historical pattern.
