Unleash Your Inner Couturier! Begin your journey of high fashion sewing with the Couture Sewing Masterclass, a one-on-one mentoring program offered by the Couture Pattern Museum. This immersive experience is designed to elevate your couture sewing skills, allowing you to recreate a stunning couture dress using a pattern from our prestigious digital archives. Under expert guidance, you will engage in a transformative process of technical mastery using a design from a famous couturier. Our intimate and interactive sessions, held once a week for 60 minutes, provide personalized feedback and consultation, ensuring your progress and growth with your couture sewing skills. The ultimate goal? To recreate a historical haute couture ensemble based on your skill level. At the end of this four-week program, you will not only gain confidence but also a profound understanding of couture craftsmanship. We understand that creating a couture dress is a meticulous process and may take longer than a month, and we respect that everyone has different learning curves. Therefore, if you need additional time, we offer the option to extend the program for additional weeks at a discounted rate of $65 per session. The Couture Creation Masterclass is priced at $499 and is held in the beautiful Couture Pattern Museum headquarters in the city of Santa Barbara. For those who cannot make it to our headquarters, we are testing a digital program via Zoom or FaceTime. Please bear with us as we perfect this digital offering, as we believe in-person sessions provide the best experience. The program schedule is as follows: Week 1: Choose your couture pattern from our extensive database. An individualized mentoring plan will be developed based on your sewing skills and ability. Week 2: Bring your prepared muslin toile for fitting or adjustments. Week 3 & Week 4: Engage in open Q&A sessions with your mentor, addressing any challenges and celebrating your progress. Upon completion, participants have the unique opportunity to have their work reviewed for submission to the Couture Pattern Museum's database and potentially exhibited in a special exhibition in Santa Barbara. Please note that due to the nature of this course, not all patterns in the database are available. Once the pattern has been delivered, the program is non-refundable.
