Conserving Haute Couture: A Conversation with Sarah Glenn, ACR

Zoom Event | Hosted by the Couture Pattern Museum

Join us for a conversation with Sarah Glenn, ACR, one of the UK’s leading fashion and textile conservators. Having worked at the Victoria & Albert Museum and projects including Dior: Designer of Dreams, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, and Fashioned from Nature, Sarah offers extraordinary insight into how haute couture garments are stabilized, studied, and protected in major museums.

At the Couture Pattern Museum, we approach conservation from a different but complementary angle by preserving the information and construction knowledge behind the cloth. This conversation brings those two approaches together to ask what it really takes to keep fashion history alive...now and for generations to come.
