Did you know the fabric of Marilyn Monroe’s iconic "Mr. President" dress is no longer available? Soufflé fabric, originating from a company named Bianchini, was discontinued due to its high flammability. This fabric was once appreciated for its airy appearance in the fashion and costume industry.


Regulatory bodies banned soufflé fabric because of its high flammability and the toxic chemicals used in its production. The fabric posed environmental and health risks, which also contributed to it being outlawed.
