About the event

Join us on July 22nd, 2022, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM for a high tea event to commemorate the birth anniversary of iconic fashion designer Charles James and to kick off the upcoming Fashion & Culture Exhibition at the 1st Thursday Artwalk. Hosted at the charming outdoors of Andersen's Danish Bakery & Restaurant at 1106 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA, this gathering is a tribute to the timeless influence of Charles James and a prelude to the cultural richness of the forthcoming exhibition. 

Enjoy a selection of fine teas accompanied by cream and sugars, traditional cucumber & cream cheese and smoked Scottish salmon sandwiches, freshly baked seasonal scones, a delightful assortment of pastries and desserts including a small cream pastry, apple strudel, and petite fours, as well as a refreshing selection of seasonal fruits. We'll raise a glass of crisp champagne in tribute to Charles James' exceptional legacy.

    Your ticket to this exclusive event includes the cost of a high tea experience at Andersen's Bakery, a celebratory glass of champagne, and covers all associated taxes and gratuity. Please note that any special orders or additional menu items beyond the high tea offering will be charged separately and are the sole responsibility of the ticket holder. Given the reservation commitments necessary for planning this special event, all tickets are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding.

The International Programme for the Preservation and Transmission of Savoir Faire is an initiative of the Couture Pattern Museum in Santa Barbara, California.
