About the event

Exclusive Hollywood Tour of Hearst Castle in Honor of Charles James

Event Details: Immerse yourself in the opulence of Hearst Castle as the Couture Pattern Museum presents an exclusive four-hour private Hollywood tour. With a maximum of six people, this truly exclusive experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the captivating Hearst Castle from the perspective of a Hollywood starlet.

We are hosting this tour to celebrate the remarkable relationship between Hearst Publications, master couturier Charles James, and Mrs. Randolph Hearst Jr., an influential figure in the world of fashion. During his career, Charles James published only three sewing patterns exclusively through Hearst Publications due to his special connection with Mrs. Randolph Hearst Jr. No other company had the privilege of releasing a Charles James pattern, making the collection at the Couture Pattern Museum exceptionally rare, unique, and an important part of fashion history.

As the Couture Pattern Museum was birthed in Central California, we take pride in celebrating the rich history of the region and establishing connections between its past and our future fashion and culture exhibition. This tour offers a captivating journey that intertwines Central California's heritage with the extraordinary legacy of Hearst Publications and the artistic genius of Charles James.

Join us on this extraordinary tour which will set the context for our future exhibition, as we pay homage to the captivating relationship between Hearst Publications, Charles James, and Mrs. Randolph Hearst Jr. Experience the enchantment of Hearst Castle and embark on a voyage that seamlessly weaves together the legacy of Central California and the Couture Pattern Museum.
