Tim, thank you for sharing this with us. It’s fascinating to dive into the history of color and meaning through historical fashion. We take so much for granted today, but articles like the one you shared, makes us stop and reflect upon human nature, the symbology of color, and the meaning of one’s dress and costume. What a timely topic! I feel that society has changed by creating symbols of power and prestige through brands. It is interesting to reflect upon a world before brands; it seems like society placed great emphasis and meaning on color.
