Beeswax Lip Balm?

Hey everyone! Are you a beeswax user? Beeswax has been used historically to strengthen hand sewing threads, fortifying natural fibers like cotton, linen, and silk; however, beeswax isn't as prevalent in modern sewing rooms anymore due to the advancements in technology like mercerization and rise of synthetic fibers. Synthetic fibers require less beeswax because they don't absorb the beeswax like natural fibers do. The wax will just sit on the surface on an already smooth fiber. If you are a beeswax user, do you have a particular brand that you like working with? I've heard that you cannot use pure beeswax because the volatile substances can ruin your fibers, so it's important to know your source. However, I came across another conditioning trick! Using beeswax lip balm to condition your fibers! I have not used this trick before and I wondered if any of you have. I imagine it would be easier to apply onto your thread. I do love using beeswax for certain occasions, but do not use it all the time for finishing work. What about you? Will you be trying out this lip balm trick?
